INSPIRATION FOR THE TIME-POOR PARENT

We are thrilled to continue to inspire parents around Sydney and beyond.  Our two-hour morning or evening panel events are jammed with as many insights as our creative and industry experts can muster. You’ll come away filled with both inspiration and information and hopefully meet some new parents. Most importantly there’s a crèche (for the midweek, daytime events), and a great bunch of supportive new people to meet.

Growing green(er) families

Hear from real (kick-ass) women about their ideas and insights for an engaged family, role modelling to kids, and leading change in homes, communities and workplaces.

We go beyond the recycling rules and meet inspiring women who have shaped their homes & communities

KIN & KIND’S BIG ADVENTURE

Don’t underestimate the importance and value of being a bit different, challenging norms and choosing your own adventure. We aren’t all the same and self-expression and family-expression is important to cultivate and encourage.

In this panel discussion we explore the value of adventure in our own lives including pushing boundaries and making new/unusual choices in parenting without letting fear define us.

control... let it go! let it go!

Let’s have an open discussion about feeling powerless and the anger/rage we sometimes (often?) feel as parents. We all go through bouts of it – let’s talk through the why, and the strategies of what to do….

Why there is a taboo against it, particularly when it comes to mother’s anger? How can we use anger as a positive? Tips and tricks for dealing with Mummy Rage, anger, anxiety and signs of something more serious line PND.

CONNECTIONS & DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS WITH KIDS

Those conversations… you know the ones… AWKWARD. Get ready to cringe - and then blush - and then cringe some more, as we share some of the most awkward questions kids have asked our panel …. And break down the barriers to having some of those tricky parenting conversations.

It goes beyond the sex talk and dives into similarly tricky life issues: talking to your children about death & loss (of a family member, a pet);  broaching porn;  separation/divorce; drugs etc

R-E-S-P-E-C-T, FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

Join us for a discussion on respect, resilience and how to become stronger through adversity.

We live in a diverse and exciting world but bullying, violence and control are ever present.

We bring together a panel discussion to dissect the issue of Respect in relation to:

Relationships (at home, in the workplace, with kids etc); conversations & words; parenting without control & influencing without harm; role modelling & success stories; offline and online rules of respect

LET’S TALK ABOUT SEX

We have no idea how we are going to make this one work, but we want to try.

Once kids come a lot a lot of us feel like our relationships with our partner changes. We have less time, we are tired, we have potentially ‘unequal’ roles, and let’s face it the sex sometimes stumbles or stops altogether.

You are not alone

In this frank and open panel discussion we want to explore sex post kids and have the conversations about what is holding us back and strategies moving forward.
